Mushroom Soup
Ingredients:
Mushroom : 250 gms
Cumin (Jeera) Powder : 1 tbsp.
Pepper Powder : 1/2 to 1 tsp.
Milk: 1 cup(200ml)
Corn flour : 1 tbsp.
Butter : 1 tsp.
Salt - to taste.
Green Chilly -small - 1 (optional)
Method:
Slice 25 gms of mMushroom in thin pieces.
Grind the remaining mushroom with milk and keep it aside.
Make corn flour into paste with little water.
Heat 1/2 tsp of Butter in a thick Vessel , add the thin sliced Mushrooms( Preferably use Button Mushrooms) and green chilly.
Fry for few minutes and then 1/2 cup water, allow it to boil it the sliced mushroom is cooked.
Pour the grinded mushroom & milk to the vessel. Add enough water to it (The total liquid should be around 1.5 liters)
Bring it to boiling stage and add corn flour paste and stir it continuously.
Allow the soup to boil for 5 to 10 minutes in low flame till raw flavor goes. Add required salt.
Finally add remaining butter, Pepper, Jeera powder and mix well.
Serve hot with toasted bread.
